The closing date for submissions is 28 February 2013. Submissions should be forwarded electronically (preferably in PDF format) to mergers@accc.gov.au with the title Submission re Heinz proposed acquisition of Rafferty's Garden (attention Jian Liu).

Alternatively submissions may be forwarded by fax to 03 9663 3699 or by mail to Mergers Branch, ACCC, GPO Box 520, Melbourne VIC 3001.

29th October 2012 ACCC commenced review under the Merger Review Process Guidelines.
16th November 2012 Closing date for submissions from interested parties.
22nd November 2012 ACCC requested further information from the merger parties. ACCC timeline suspended and the former proposed decision date of 6 December 2012 delayed pending receipt of the information.
20th December 2012 ACCC received further information from the merger parties following ACCC's request for information on 22 November 2012. ACCC timeline recommenced.
7th February 2013 ACCC published a Statement of Issues outlining preliminary competition concerns.
28th February 2013 Closing date for submissions relating to Statement of Issues.
28th February 2013 Former proposed decision date of 21 March 2013 delayed at the request of Heinz to allow the merger parties to provide further information.
14th March 2013 ACCC received further information from the merger parties. ACCC timeline recommenced. Former proposed decision date of 21 March 2013 postponed to allow the ACCC time to consider the further information.
17th May 2013 ACCC timeline suspended at the request of Heinz to allow it to provide further information. Former proposed decision date of 23 May 2013 delayed.
30th May 2013 Proposed date for announcement of ACCC's final decision.
